Well....I have finally bought a new house and moved in with my hoard of aquariums. This time we have landed in a 1968 condo which is on the 2nd(top) floor. New town, new house, and a new job...change is real after my separation

This house is a similar size to my previous cottage...it is around 1100 sq ft. The master bedroom and other living spaces are quite large but the "fish room" is only a 12x12 box. I also must have a place for guests so I'm rude and bought a futon since it takes up less space and is miserable enough nobody will want to stay. With all of this my tanks are getting down sized and simplified. I must say Titan stands are making this easy as I can still put 2x75G and 2x40Bs in that room with the dog crate, futon, etc and not feel crammed.

The only 2 fish I have left are my female midas(Mz Hyde) and my male jag (Black Phillip). Both fish were in 10G totes for about 2 weeks with daily WCs when possible and some form of filtration. Outside of being a bit skinny from not being fed for a bit over 2 weeks they are fine. The just got back into aquariums last night and were fully colored up within 5mins. CAs are tough as nails so I'm sure they will survive what I assume will be a fish in cycle of their tanks as well as put weight back on. I'm going to feed them lightly today.

With that said...I have 1 75G in the LR to stock, 1 55G in the master bedroom to stock, and another 75 and 40B in the fish room to stock. Should be a fun adventure! Also never move 9 larger aquariums 2hrs away with hundreds of pounds of rock and wood. It takes 8 movers and multiple Uhaul trips

Thanks for the welcome everyone! It is nice to be back...hopefully this is my last move for quite a long time! I e moved 3 times since I've been on this forum and that is just far too much.

I know that I will be getting an Oscar of some sort along with Severums of some sort as those are just staples for me. I'm at a loss for the 55G and other 40G. As usual I dont care to devote 1 tank to 1 pet fish.

Welcome back! Sounds like the hard part is over, and the fun is just starting! You may find yourself sleeping on that futon with all of those fish tanks to lull you to sleep

Jenn, it is good to see that you're settling down after the move. Looking forward to see you work your magic again.
Think with logic and rationality more than emotion. Act with moderation and consideration. Contemplate ideals and realistic goals and weigh out possibilities and options. Temper not with personal delusions or false hope but learn to accept and move on.

Welcome back! I'm glad every one made the move well including yourself! I look forward to an update on black Phillip especially as well as what you decide for everything else. I'm glad all is well. Change is good in my book and I hope you are doing well with all of yours!

PS I was taken on a date several weeks back to a very small and fairly new aquarium and my date started thinking I was loony as I sat and admired a jag in one of their setups for the majority of the time we were there lol he wanted to show me a bunch of SW stuff and I derailed to gawk at their jag whom honestly I think was more of a flirt than my date. Such tremendous personality and was a total boss even of the two dovii with him.
