Yes, that's what I'm hoping for, although it will be a while until they look as nice and sparkly as the adults. Having at least 5 (hopefully, maybe more later) grow up at the same time will make a nice school. It was disappointing when the LFS didn't get them in. They were on his supplier's list as available, which he posts for anyone to make requests. Then he posts what he has actually ordered and my diamonds were on there along with the HY511 and sparkling gouramis. Only the latter two arrived at the store. But I"m OK with freebies!

The store owner did say that a woman call about bringing in some of her diamonds which were "breeding like crazy". But they were still too small for him to want to take them at that time. If she brings some in later and he posts about them, I may get a couple to add some diversity. He didn't get her name or other info or I would have maybe contacted her.

Wow, that would really work out to add some new genes, too bad the guy at the LFS didn't think/know to keep a contact for you. Could you put a Wanted Ad up? On FB or something?

I doubt the ones she brought in were breeding, they were most likely the babies if they were too small for the LFS, but she does have some breeding diamonds, so her tank must be healthy enough. (I'd still QT them through)

Still really cool that your own diamonds have restocked themselves. I hope you find even more!

Just loving this - the 2 latest fry are now 4 fry! These eggs must have been spawned around the same time as the latest 2 and either hatched later, or weren't brave enough to come too far out of the moss . There's only one adult male and female so it can't be a separate spawn so soon. Assuming all goes well, I now have the 2 adults, 3 growing fry about 2 months old - juvies, really now - and 4 new fry.
