Lol yeah, who am I kidding? I need a herd of angels in this tank! Ok, first cichlid decided on, so no to severum.

They would do well together depending on the Tetras you choose. I like large schools of cardinal tetras. I like neons too but they are genetically weak from so much inbreeding. Both look about the same anyway with the cardinals being a tad larger. Cardinals are hard to find these days too. But fortunately there are many other tetras available. The only tetra I don't recommend are pirhannas. Lol

The last time that I began stocking a Discus tank, I would buy them about the size of a 50 cent piece and they were about $ 35 back then. That was over 20 years ago. I have no idea what they cost now.

Thanks. For tetras, I'm leaning towards larger ones. My LFS has regular kerri tetras in. I could get a large group of those.....I should hold off on any new fish while I deal with the parasite, but seeing I'll be treating the new fish anyway, I'm not against getting new fish soon. But I want to review all my options first so I don't regret anything. I always liked red phantom as well, having trouble finding nice specimens lately though. I'll keep everything in mind when I visit some stores, at least I have a better idea about what I can keep and what not. Thanks a bunch everyone!
