Just an FYI folks.
If your loaches get Ich and you use medication to clear it, use half a dose twice as long. Standard practice for scaless fish.

, it is amazing the amount of people who come on and say they have medicated or used salt, then you look in there tank setup and there are catfish or loaches.

I use full doses on loaches and other 'sensitive' fish all the time without issues. If you look on Quick Cure it now only warns about elephant noses and baby whales (something like that). It is safer not to, but half-dosing antibiotics, microbicides, etc. can breed resistant strains.

Who was that here a couple months ago that wondered why her loaches had sores all over their body? Can't remember who it was but it turned out she had used medications for ick and it had burned their skin but I also don't know what meds she used.

Ick Guard has a medication just for sensitive fish......Ick Guard II. I figure it's just a diluted version. But I also use salt.
