Par meter may have been the best thing Iíve ever done with that tank. I had the lights in a spot I thought was good. In fact I was providing horribly low par in my tank. The best spot in the tank had around 60 par. I played with the settings and now have around 250 in the best spots and 60-100 in the sand bed.

Wow, that’s kind of crazy. Didn’t you torch a few frags? I’m amazed that you could burn them if you were only hitting them with around 60 PAR.

Yeah I did, but I accidentally left the frag rack less than 6Ē from the waters surface when I did that. My tallest rock is probably 12Ē from the surface if not a little more.

Oh that’s right, I forgot about the rack part.

Glad you got it tested out. I bet you’re stoked to see how your corals respond to the improved lighting.

I am, I canít believe the numbers were that low. I have a green slimmer thatís been struggling and I couldnít for life of me figure out why. That question has been answered and thatís awesome. I also got to see where my hot spots are so I can better place coral. I ended up moving my two birdsnest last night, after seeing they were in some of the highest light areas. Iím having to crank up these lights so much Iím going to spread it over a few weeks. Here is the current peak light settings and then what will be the new peak settings.

I understand none of that about the lights, but am glad that you're happy with knowing the results. What I do know about, or want to know about is... How's Stitch?

haha, he's good and will be ready to eat tonight. I'm going about every three days right now, but I noticed he was prowling the tank last night. I'm starting to understand him a little. When he picks a spot and stays there he's good, when he is out and cruising under and in all different rocks I think he's looking for food. I would have last night but I was so busy with the par meter I decided to wait till tonight to do it.

Maybe you could get a video while you're feeding him?

I can give it a shot, he mostly just sticks his head out and snatches the food and takes it to his current cave. I'll get the wife to help and see what happens.

@showmebutterfly sorry no video today. He wasn't in the mood to eat last night and he was on the back side of rock. Not in great viewing position. I'll try again another day.
