Snow, snow and more snow! Six foot berms piled up from plowing. I was able to refill the bird feeders in the forest clearing, as hubby was able to plow up to them. The ones in the garden -- forget it.

I take a supplement that includes Vitamin D3. Needed when there is so little sunlight and not much chance to get outdoors.

How do I spend my time? I have one earring hole that has closed up in my ear. I've been trying to wheedle it open with a stud. I'd rather do it that way than go to the jeweler and have them use that painful piercing gun. Takes a lot of time, but I'm usually able to eventually poke through. I've had enough of that gun -- almost passed out the last time they used it. I try not to let my holes close up, anymore, but don't always remember to keep in earrings.

Now, isn't that a "productive" use of time? LOL!

It is a pumpstation for the sewerage Matt.
The signs on it tell how high the Rhine came in that specific years.

The town lays higher than the Riverbank on which houses are build so the pump is needed. In some years the cellars if these houses are overflowed.

Is that quite standard for houses around your region??

They look so much warmer than nz ones.

Do you mean warmer as in cosy or warmer as in well isolated Mac.

They don't appear isolated, but maybe they're well INsulated?

    Hahaha right.
    "Insulation" is "isolatie" in Dutch.
    So my mistake in translation.
    I meand INsulated indeed.

Now I think of it it is quite strange we use the same word for isolated and insulated.

"Een geïsoleerd huis" can mean an isolated and house and an insulated house.
Though we mostly use to say "Een geïsoleerd liggend huis" in the first case "an isolated situated house"

    Woohahaha that's weird.
