I had that unfortunate same feeling, did some research and I am trying out one method of helping her out at the moment. Just got home from the store.

Currently trying a salt bath for the fish. Seems to be working a bit, she is slowly going around the tank. However she seems to mainly stay around the heater that I have in there. Have a thermometer in there to keep an eye on the temp.

Salt bath complete for the platy, she still laying on the bottom of the hospital tank. Keeping medicated with Melafix and Pimafix. Keeping the temperature around 86 degrees in the hospital tank. Any other suggestions for what to do is more than welcome.

Took and replaced the man made cave with some driftwood in the tank, do you think that it will affect the biome in the tank?

Only thing that I can say is that she isn't hurting anymore.

Leave it be, don't change anything with the tank for now...let the BB grow wherever it can

Upgrade to the 20L sooner, rather than later, and add more filtration

Looking forward to the future, and being able to upgrade my Ten gallon to a twenty gallon tank. I know that I will keep the ten gallon tank for other purposes, maybe get a good shoaling fish to go in it when I upgrade. Any suggestions?
