What is the probability my baby petricolas ate my guppy fry? Petricolas are tiny, less than 1". Guppy fry were 3 days old. Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the AC :) Are your catfish babies or juvies? Three day-old guppy fry are pretty tiny, if the petricolas could fit them in their mouths at all, I wouldn't put it past them they didn't get the guppy fry while they were sleeping. Best to remove the guppy fry into another tank if you wish to grow them up. If not, it's nature and makes for great nutrition for your synos.

Thanks for the response. Yeah they're tiny babies. I picked up 4 to add to another juvenile pair I have in another tank but for now I have them in a small refugium. This is also where I keep guppies and neo shrimp. I'm definitely more interested in growing out the petricolas than anything else in there so I think it's working out well if they took the live food. I just wasn't sure if they resorted to hunting the guppies due to my not providing an adequate diet to begin with.
