Rosys get way too big for a 5.5G tank; maybe you were thinking of embers?

Thanks SueD yes my goldies are feeders and they are just there to see if the tank is sustainable for other nicer fish.

Not sure if you are aware of the nitrogen cycle yet or not but a couple feeder goldies will sure get it started in a 5G.

The tank won't be suitable for other fish until you complete the cycling of it. If you get an API test kit that Slaphppy linked, it will help you determine when your tank is suitable for fish. We can all help you with that also.

Ditch the goldies -- rehome them or sell them to an LFS.
I wouldn't recommend WCMM because of the numbers needed for a decent school. I have 8 or 9 of the Vietnamese WCMM in a 20g long and they use the entire length of the tank.

Yes, big mistake. I meant Ruby Tetra - Axelrodia riesei. This is what I have in one of my 5.5g tanks.

Nice little tetra, my source water ph would not support them well, according to this

What is the ph reading in your tank, generally?

7.4 - 7.6. I've had the same 8 of them for 18 months so far along with the 4 hara jerdoni.
