    Default Black on Betta Fins?

    0 Not allowed!

Iím not sure if this is anything or if Iím just being paranoid because you can see it on old pictures of Hermes too, but is this black spotting anything I should worry about?

His tank is cycling right now so doing daily water changes to 0 that out.
Ammonia is at 0 and Nitrites(?) are at 25-50ish usually and I do a water change accordingly every night

For the first week I had him I put paraguard in his tank to try and get rid of any petstore yuckies

Heís got black on his fins near his gils too, which Iíve been trying to grab a picture of but he wonít let me so this is the best I can do

Did this just appear or do you think you may have missed it when you got him? Because of his darker eye, he may just have a black gene that will become more prevalent as he ages. Its not red which often times is a bacterial issue. Maybe another member has more info.
