Male Kribensis?
0
Can someone please confirm whether or not this is a male Krib? I for sure know my other is female and I believe this one is male. I can post more pics if needed.

the dorsal fin should have color all the way to the end (back), whereas on the female, the color will stop short of the back of the dorsal fin
female, notice the back end of the dorsal fin is transparent

Agree. I always looked for the red edge on the dorsal and caudal fin of the male to sex kribs. I believe I looked for black dots on the caudal fin of the males as well, but it takes a bit to show up on juvenile fish.

You can see an obvious point extending from the ventrals. I'm stumped. image.jpgimage.jpg

It's approximately 2.5". I believe it's young. They had Kribs that were 2" to 3.5". Most of the remaining larger ones were female. I'm pretty sure they were mixed ages. My confirmed female is between 3 to 3.5 inches.

I thought female at first as well, but if it's a very young krib, the coloring could appear later. I still think it's a female though, the dorsal fin on the male is even more pointed, at least, the ones I kept. Look for a pointed caudal (tail) fin as well on males.

The dorsal doesn't really appear pointed in the pic, but it and the anal fin are slightly pointed. Unfortunately, he has a minor case of fin for from the store that is mainly on his caudal fin, so I can't say about it. Here's a pic showing the anal fin. image.jpg
