Ahhhh Thank you! I hadn't thought about medicating the food for some reason
    That's a great suggestion :)

I checked on them a while ago and some of the kerri tetras were still at the very top and some were still swimming at odd angles, but I'm not at all familiar with these tetras or very young tetras. This does concern me though. It could be they lose equilibrium because the lights all around the tank (my other fish tanks) are on. I know angels will tilt toward the light and use the surface light to oriente themselves. I'm going to add a filter to the QT tank light to dim it, I'll see how they swim with overhead lighting.

I did put a bit of food in. They look so hungry! The kerri tetras at the very top were eating the crushed NLS flakes right away. All the others came up shortly after to feed. I fed them some bug bites as well, and they were accepted. I only let them float, I didn't want to pollute the tank, and I did not notice the rams eat anything, although they became more active. I will try some bloodworms or something better later when I can see what's going on.

I'm going to work on turning the light on slowly, unless someone suggests I keep it dark for today!

I'd keep the tank dark for tonight, slowly raise the lights tomorrow...and try to limit activity around the tank that could stress the newbies as well as the originals...there's more than one "acclimation" I use with new fish, and this is one of them....originals have new friends to check out, the newbies are in a brand new environment...let them mingle for a while

Very low light, and leave them alone...for as long as you can resist, lol...I know it's hard

I always use PraziPro when adding new fish, no other meds...has worked well for me so far

Fish get into a methylene blue bath for 30 minutes, which serves as a mild antiseptic to any bacteria they are carrying on their skin. It also increases the oxygen in their blood, which would help in any healing incurred from catching or possible ammonia poisoning. MB boosts their immune system, making them more robust; basically reducing chances for weak stock syndrome. Paraguard with salt is the first thing I use in QT. It stops the ich, and prevents external infections as a result of wounds from them being captured.

Prazipro doesnt get used until the 3rd week.

Oh darn. I turned the light on last night, I didn't see your post Matt. I was concerned with one of my rams, it's head looked funny. I wanted to see with more lighting. It looks like an injury to me :( My first thought, was a peroxide swab, but the injury is way too close to his eyes for that I think. I hate this! I think I must have had two jumpers as well :( I had left the top off slightly, the kerris stick to the very surface, even to sleep, I didn't expect them to jump, but I found a kerri on the floor and I can only count 15 of them. Grrrrrrrrr.

Here's a vid of the new fish, also the gold tetras for Rocksor.

I had to add drums because the sound of the filters was so loud.

@Rocksor How much do I wish I had added Meth Blue to the bucket they were P&D'd into? It's too late now right? I did go ahead and add ParaGuard last night, in hopes my poor injured ram doesn't develop fungus or infection. I'm pretty worried about that ram. I think their gills might look red and enlarged as well? Thinking about adding kanaplex as well, but I'm not sure if I'm acting too early? Should I treat that ram seperately? Or wait and see if he heals ok in the QT tank? Maybe it won't get infected?

You can still do the meth blue bath if you want to try and catch the fish. 1ML per gallon. You can mix kanaplex into the 30-60 minute bath.

Yeah, I don't really want to try that, I think I'll stress them out so much. How much benefit would it be to do so after being in my tank for a day and night? I feel so sorry for these fish, and pretty pissed at Canada Post. Can you see if the EB rams have burnt gills?

Having extra oxygen in the blood helps the fish to heal. If any type of poison is in the blood, MB will help to remove that; although this would be better in the tank long term (5ml per 10 gallon) for 1 week.

I stick fish in a plastic cooler with an airstone and a heater, changing 5 gallons a water a day using old tank water. The cooler because I don't want MB to stain any silicone.

Ok tx, well I just checked on them (in the dark) all the fish look ok, but again, in the dark.
The kerri tetras are so tiny, they are possibly more hardy to ship. I added IALs in the tank and filter last night as well, I forgot to mention.

If my ram is looking worse, I might move him to a rubbermaid, and keep him with Meth Blue for a week. Does that sound like a plan? I really don't think I could catch all those kerri tetras without stressing the whole tank right out. If things go south, I'll have to take action quickly no matter what, do I have a bit of time to "wait and see"?

You can wait and see with the tetras. If you attempt to catch the ram, reduce the water so that it is just above the fin of the tallest fish.

I'm pretty discouraged. Trying to stay positive, but this has not been a good first shipping experience for me. I only count 13 (from 18) kerri tetras today. I only found one dying one, no bodies except the jumper on the floor. At least the 13 others look ok I guess.

The rams still aren't eating. I'll try some other foods later, but I'm so scared of overfeeding. On top of that, I'm fearing the ram I suspected had an injury might have lymphocystis! Oh, I hope not, but I know the ram nurseries in Germany were plagued with the virus and have seen it on rams at the LFS a few years ago. These were locally bred in Guelph Ontario, but you never know.

Can anyone ID what's wrong with the ram? It looks like yellow nodules on its head, or scapes as I first thought, but now I'm not so sure. I absolutely need an ID, I will never add these rams to my showtank of they have the virus. What a waste of $110 :(

    Hopefully I'm just panicking.
