It doesn't really look the same as the ram's bumps, but it's because of the color. The rams cysts looked puss-filled (even though they are not for the record). These look the same in the sense that they are uneven growths all clumped together.

I'm leaving Friday for 6 days. I guess I'll just leave the fish be, although I'm tempted to end it's suffering. But I really want know if Lymphocystis can be transferred between species!!!!!! If I can't find a dianosis again, I'm just gonna say for myself that it probably can be!!

@Rocksor what deformity is this? He looks really skinny, doesn't shoal with the others, gets picked at, doesn't swim much or eat much. That's why I'm surprised it's still alive.

@Rocksor: do you have any idea what the white protrusion on her fish is? @angelcraze2: If this fish is already weak and compromised by being picked on plus his white growths (which we do not know what that is yet), I would suggest euthanizing it. I doubt he will get better while you are away and it might help prevent spread of it to others. If he dies in the tank while you are away for 6 days the other fish might eat it. Hopefully things will be better when you return home.

Hi @Silbar :) I feel this kind of thing has been popping up here and there on a lot of members here, weird bumps, growths, cysts, lesions, they seem to pass by as unidentified. Like your own ordeal a few years ago. Does it look familiar to you?

It does seem like the "problem" tank is always a new problem tank. I could be wrong, but I've NEVER dealt with something like this EVER (just had to get it out). Seems weird it's one thing after another, if only I knew how they were somehow connected.

Those are my thoughts exactly, to euthanize, I see he is suffering slowly. His gills looked red since I've had him. I feel the poor fish is doomed. And yes, this is the first time I've seen fish dissapear. I never knew how that happens! I fear the spread of infection while I'm away as well, so tx for taking the hint and helping me out :)

You're awesome Matt TY! It's similar, but the protrusions on the kerri tetra are smaller and uneven.
Fish and Bird kid had something similar in his phantom tetra as well, only the poor phantom was covered in the growths. http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aqua...d.php?t=126368

They might not be the same, but similar in the sense that the "growths" are not fuzzy. Just white or off-white bumps and growths. Can fish growths be malignant? I suppose they could be.....

I'm just happy the bad shipment never affected any of my own fish, even the gold tetras and pleco unfortunately housed with them.

How many of the tetras have the growth, and when did you first notice them after receiving the fish?

Only one tetra is showing growths. They first appeared two days ago Monday. I've had the fish since Oct 4th, so about 3 weeks. The fish always looked weak, but no visual growths protruding until Monday. The first vid taken 4 days ago shows the area just as white scales (skin). No protuding bumps that I saw, than 2/3 bumps all at once all joined appearing within 2 1/2 days.
