I ended up reading about the lemon tetra, I just realized how cool they are when adults. I always noticed this sparkle on their flanks. I didn't know fine specimens develop this sheen. There are so many shades of yellow and greenish on the regular lemon tetra, I just thought I'd post Wikipedia to read for yourself. They truly do look how they are described here as adults. My lemons are always breeding, and like I said, their antics are so fun to watch :)

I second the playfulness of the lemons. They are super active. The only thing I don't like is that they play football with sinking foods, which makes them a bit annoying when you're trying to get food down to the substrate for your cories.

Sometimes I think the entire tetra community should have formed their own soccer league.

Larry makes a good point, the Rosy clad, Columbians, Emperors, and Diamonds to name a few, like to engage in this activity ;-)

Lol! I love that... they can be very rambunctious at feeding time considering they are such a little fish!

Just to let you know, I used to keep Columbian tetras in my 90g. They went really well with my congos-oops mixed continents, but they were similar in swimming styles and the columbian grow huge, 2 1/2 inches if the congos were 3", probably even bigger. They also breed prolifically, my school of 8 columbians turned themselves into 11 even with predators in my 90g. They are an awesome fish, I was tempted to keep them again, but I think for your tank the orange lemon tetras would be best since they are so rare. I think they'd look great with altums and geos.
