    Default White thread algae?

    0 Not allowed!
I think there is some white algae in my tank. There isn't very much of it. I contained and cleaned it out as best I could. Hopefully I nipped it.

It seems overfeeding is the culprit. And it's not algae, it's a bacteria. I'll adjust feeding. Do I need to do anything else, besides carefully removing it as much as possible?

I'm frustrated. Plants need lots of light and fertilization, but these increase diatoms. So I'm always trying to find a balance. So now too much food is a problem. *complain* I'll be trying to find a balance there, as well.
After Rachel O'Leary tried the pothos in a filter and it wiped out her aelgae, that's on my shopping list. Not sure if it will affect bacteria.

At first it looked like wee little cotton balls on my DW.

I cleaned that off, then later noticed some long, wispy threads hanging between my tallest plants, and one long wisp flowing with the current. It kind of looks like this, but much smaller and not near as much.

    Thanks!
