Agressive Angelfish

Hi! I have had my angelfish for at least 3 years and more recently it has started to be aggressive to all its tankmates. Even the red tail shark that has been in the tank the whole time.

29 gal tank
1Angel & 1 red tail shark both about 4-6inches
2 small dwarf pleco something?
3 neons

The tank is clean we haven't had issues. Do you think I need a bigger tank?

Yes you do! I would get a 75 gallon for that fish combo redtails get pretty large

Agreed, a larger tank for your angel and shark (angelfish would be fine if he wasn't becoming aggressive, I don't have experience with sharks and believe they absolutely need more horizontal room)

For immediate temporary help, do you have plants and/or decor to break up the tank, create territory for your angel and hideouts for the tetras? I would add at least 3 more neons, preferably get it up to a group of ten. They are not heavy on the bioload, feel and act much safer in a big group.

Hey! I haven't updated this thread in a long time but I'm having the same issue in a new, bigger tank. My Angel is staying in the center of the tank and going after any fish that come anywhere near it.

I have plenty of fake plants and decor for hiding. Temp is 78. One medium size air stone.

60gal tank. 1 Angel, 1 red tail shark, 1 dwarf pleco, 2 paradise guarmi, 9 glofish.

I've had the Angel and Shark together for several years. They are prob about 5 inches. The rest if the fish are fairly new. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to chill this angel out. Also, at feeding time he does,not want to let anyone else eat. Any advice?

more glofish so he cant pick on them as much, like 18 total

feed the fish on opposites end of the tank, not the middle
