    Default Is my anemone dying?

    Hi, all!

I recently added an anemone to my tank for the first time. It looked great all weekend and this evening I came home from work to check on it (running straight to the tank to check on it has been a daily occurrence since I purchased it) and it had moved itself to the back corner and now looks very sick. I carefully moved it back to the original spot it settled in and took a few pictures.

Before I purchased it, I had my LFS check my water specs about 3 times a week for a month to make sure my water parameters were in tip top shape. I also paid for a house visit to have them assess it in person and let me know if any improvements needed to be made before adding it. Once I got the green light from my trusted buddies, I went in and bought one.

I have a 30gal with perfect water conditions, adequate water flow. I have two clowns, a six line wrasse, a lawnmower blenny and a small cleanup crew (5 small hermits and about 8 snails).

Today, my anemone looks like this:

Any ideas as to what is going on? Is it dying for some reason?

I have absolutely ZERO knowledge on anything marine so I'm not even going to take a stab at your problem.

BUT, since no one has responded to your question I'll reply to bump it and ask if you've seen the sticky about anemones......
