If you saw my current Amazon shopping list, you'd understand why I'm trying to limit the amount I'm spending on new tanks hahahahaha

That's because you keep creating very beautiful but fussy tanks. LOL...you're your own worst enemy

And to think that when I started this hobby I told my wife it was so much cheaper compared to modifying my Camaro hahahahaha

Well you should probably stop and sell it if you're in deeper than 80 grand, that goes for you tanks as well.

Haha naw, my Camaro is a 4th-gen from 2001. Car is maybe worth $7grand and has about $1,500 worth of modifications to it. Wife got pregnant before I could dump any more money into it, and the aquarium hobby kinda became an obsession shortly after :)

I love seeing classic cars and trucks like the one I posted but I'm always glad they belong to somebody else. You gotta be in love to do something that foolish...talk about a money pit. Your new obsession is turning into a beautiful form of artistic expression bud. I guess most tanks are a living work of art and science.

Aw, thanks Larry! It's definitely a struggle as I am not artistic at all and very envious of all the fancy scapes I see out there. I watch vids of scapers like Amano setting up their tanks and wish I had the mind's eye to visualize something like that. I feel like the pretty tanks that I have put together were more accidental scapes as opposed to grand visions haha

I beg to differ Andre. But I understand not being able to visualize the end result. I certainly am not able to do that. Let's just call it the evolution of your efforts, the end result is beautiful.

Don't you admire those folks who can see the pictures in their mind? I lack any kind of artistic talent or vision. But I can enjoy and appreciate the end results of others' creations, whether photos, artwork or well scaped tanks.

One of my cousins is like that. A true artist. He visualizes amazing and original concepts in his brain and then draws/paints them with ease. I am ok at picking up a pencil or charcoal and recreating something I see in front of me, but I don't have much in the way of original creativity. I've written songs in the past, but those - like my tanks - are more accidental evolutions that start off simple and unrealized and then seem to take on a life of their own. I essentially sit there and play with something over and over again until it starts to work. I am unable to just sit there and make up a tune in my head or plan out an aquascape.

Stayed out late with the wife and kid tonight. Rear light on this tank was still cranked up all the way so the rotala was still pearlin' away when we walked in. Created a cool effect when I turned the light down to its moonlight mode.
