Default Loaches constantly swimming in bubbler.

I just added 4 kuhli loaches (3 black and 1 striped) into my quarantine tank (2.5 gallon- Ammonia and Nitrites both 0). At first they darted to the bottom and seemed to be investigating the wood, rocks and sand. Now at least 3 (the most I have seen at 1 time) are swimming up and down in the bubbler and occasionally doing a lap of the entire tank. It is almost like a kid on a sugar high. Is this normal?

That's a small tank for kuhlis, they like room to explore

If you just got them recently and are QT'ing them, I'd kill the lights...they're nocturnal to begin with, and if they originated from a decent sized tank, the small space is probably stressing them
