Default Finally pulled the trigger, New Tank Stock!

As the title states, I finally brought myself to move on from Africans after nearly 22yrs of keeping them. I spent over 30mins netting 7 adults and 1 juvenile, as well as a 19 inch Pleco out of my tank yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised when the owner of my LFS offered $75 for them. Although I was sad to see my >3" Blood Dragon Peacock go, I started to pick my new stock out.

I ended up with 10 Neon Tetras, 4 Odessa Barbs, 2 Amanda Corys, 1 BN Pleco, 2 German Blue Rams, 1 Sunset Dwarf Gourami, and 1 Marble Angelfish to go with the one I was given. I still have room for a few more but I decided to see how this works out first. The only fish that were near adult size were the Odessa's, all of the rest are juveniles with the Rams being VERY small. I also purchased 2 pots of Crypts and 2 pots of Mint Charlies to go with the 2 Vals I took from my oldest sons tank. Now we shall see if I can keep a planted tank also!

Now to change my signature and get some pics up!

Congrats on the new fish and fresh start with the tank.

Few suggestions...this is a 100G, right?...you could have gotten many more of the neons...the odessas and corys need to be in larger groups, minimum 6 on the corys (I'd do 12), and I'd get the barbs up to at least 10.

I hope the GB rams and DG get along, those dwarf gourami can be aggressive and nippy.

    Looking forward to some pics.

Here are some pics of the new setup and stock (sorry for the poor pics, the fish wouldn't stay still for a photo op, lol).....

The Cory's and Gourami wouldn't cooperate at all with getting a pic of them. They stayed at the back of the tank behind the rocks and DW.

    Correct, it's a 4ft 100gal.

I thought about getting more of the Corys but they seem fine as of now. I will get more later this week.

I bought the last of the Odessas and 1 of them is not looking good right now. It's staying away from the group in a corner near the top and is not as colorful as the other 3. It did eat a little but still.......If I lose it within a week my LFS will replace it. He said he expects more later this week when his stock shipment comes in.

I will also add about 6 more neons to the group when I go back.

So far so good with the DG. He's staying away from everyone. I did notice one of the GB Rams picking on the school of neons this morning but never made contact with any of them.

I didn't want to go hog wild with the plants as I want to see if my lighting will keep them healthy, and I want to see how much they spread before adding more.

Sounds like a good plan....tank looks great

Are we sure that's a GBR?...maybe he/she hasn't colored up yet, but it looks different than most I have seen...I've no experience with them though

They're VERY small, maybe 3/8"-1/2" at most. They were the last 2 at the LFS. I don't think they get their color until they start getting bigger.

It looks like a zebra cichlid fry to me. I never had a ram fry that look like that. But hopefully i am wrong.

If it turns out to be a zebra cichlid, will the OP have issues with stocking he has?

If the gourami is a "sunset" gourami, it may be a sunset honey gourami which are usually peaceful, not nippy as some of the other dwarfs are. Love the angels and those odessa barbs. I've been wanting some of the odessa barbs for a while; just haven't decided yet to place the order. The one you show in your picture has nice color already. How big would you estimate he is?
