Ramshorn snail looks different than others
It's always easier to tap everyone's expertise than to spend an hour weeding through online articles which may or may not have the info I'm looking for.
I noticed my black mystery snail (and the tiny ones which come with all my plants I buy) have a mouth of sorts. As it moves along the tank glass it appears as if it's gulping or taking bites at it. My ramshorn doesn't seem to have the same thing, or at least none which I've noticed.
Is this a good identifyer on which ones will eat my plants and which ones won't?
Shrimp and snail junkie... What can I say, I like the little things in life.

Neither will eat living, healthy plants. They all will eat unhealthy/dying/dead plant matter. They all have mouths though, perhaps the ramshorns are more subtle about eating.36g corner bow, heavily planted with java moss, windelov, java fern, anubias barieri, crypts, anacharis, and african fern. 2 honey gourami, 9 cardinals, 4 neons, 5 cherry barbs, 5 sterbai cory, 1 brochis splendens, unknown number red cherry shrimp
16g bow, lightly planted with java moss, java fern. 4swordtail tetra, 1 male betta
10g 4 pomacea bridgessi, a million cherry shrimp, java moss, windelov fern, anubia, java fern

I noticed some of my ramshorns do it to..I think their mouth is just not visible unless it is eating or your looking realy close.
