So i am redoing my 40B, and i was planning on getting a pair apisto cacatouides, with around 16 albino aneus corries, and i was think a large school of smaller schooling fish. The tank is a 40b, painted blue, with black sand, i am still in the process of fully planting it, and should be getting a nice piece and set of driftwood soon. at first i was thinking regular neons, but i think they are a bit too common/ a lot of people complaining about health issues with them? idk, then i thought maybe some ember tetras, but they may be a bit too small, so now i'm kind of thinking about green neons or kerri's, but if there is anything else that may be good i'd like to know.

I have a shoal of Embers in with my Apistogramma Trifasciata.
With your tank size you could do a very decent school of them.

A other option would be to go for Glow light tetras.

I'd go with Rummy nose, about the tightest schooling of the tetra's ;-)

What you can expect from them ;-)

For me the black neons and embers shoal pretty tight. While the rummy spread around the tank along with the head and tail light tetras.
