I know they are supposed to be feeder shrimp, but they are just fun to watch. They swim to the surface to grab fish food. They have battle royales over two inches segments of rock.

Fearless, even when faced with a catfish 30 times their size. Fun. And cheap.

    Anyone else?

My oldest son has a ghost shrimp in his 5gal tank. He actually had 3 shrimp (2 RCS) in there with his Betta, but the other 2 were snacks within about 5 days. The ghost, however stands his ground and fights the Betta off. Now the Betta pretty much leaves it alone. They do have some personality!

    You're lucky.

Every time I tried adding ghost shrimp to my tank, they all slowly died off.

I bought some ghost shrimp few months ago and one started holding eggs. So i put her in a spare ten gallon. And waited. Eggs hatched and had tiny baby shrimp. I was so excited because this was my first experience aside from me and my wife having 5 kids. But than cichlids took over my life. Let's just say I have no more shirmp.

I check every day to see if my sons ghost shrimp is still alive in his tank. About 3 days ago I look in there and see what appears to be a shell of a shrimp (my assumption was he was killed and the insides eaten. I walk away and 10m later my son says "hey dad my shrimps not dead". Sure enough, it was still in there! I never thought it would live long enough to molt.
