My Raphael cat fish ate a piece of gravel. What should I do? He is about 5 inches long.

Are you sure the catfish swallowed the gravel? Lots of catfish inhale substrate into their mouths while feeding and expel it through the gill slits. The gravel could have been expelled on the side of the fish facing away from you.

Even if the catfish truly swallowed the piece of gravel (i.e. it isn't lodged in the mouth or throat) I wouldn't be unduly worried. Wild fish constantly swallow and regurgitate indigestible objects.

Does your Raphael hide constantly? I haven't seen my spotted Raphael in months. I know he's alive cause I see him in the wood cave but never comes out.
