Thread: 15 gallon tank

    Default 15 gallon tank

    Hello everyone.

I've had a 15 gallon tank going now for two months and my setup is currently 1 red flame honey gourami and 4 corys.

Of the 4 corys two of them are pandas and two bronze. I think I made a mistake here, being sure I read that two colorizations could school but it seems like it's not working and I think I will return the pandas and get two more bronze. I would be interested in hearing something about this from you.

As for the gourami I plan on getting some more tall plants and/or floating plants so that he has more cover. The tank is quite heavily planted though with one plant (the name of which I have forgotten) expanding with crazy speed along the back of the tank. But I've been wondering what fish would go well with him and the corys? I want a schooling species, and have been dreaming about getting 5 or 6 cherry barbs to go alongside the gourami but I wonder if it's too much. AqAdvisor puts that combo at 81%. Otherwise I was thinking something like ember tetras or chili rasboras, but I don't know much about these smaller schooling species so I would really appreciate some feedback on this.

    Thank you!
