    plus, firstly I dont have a pond anywhere nearby that i know of, secondly i read somewhere that releasing goldfish in wild can wreck havoc with its original wildlife. 😐

    Sorry so late to get back, I just found this. It would be best to rehome your goldfish, perhaps put up a local ad to see if anyone has a pond nearby or bring them back to the LFS who sold you them. Regrettably, you will undoubtedly run into issues eventually as the fish mature and grow larger. There's just too much bioload for the size of tank and filter :( Not to mention territorial space with the sharks. Better safe than sorry, you don't issues down the line! You are right about release into the wild, pls don't just dump them in a river.
