    Hello everyone,
I have a 85 gallon tank and i was wondering what your thoughts about how many peacock/haps i can put in there, only males.
Right now there are 8 fish in it (all peacocks)
I was thinking around 15 fish?
    Sorry for the english.
    Everyone a nice evening :)

IMO, 15 would be max with frequent water changes. I personally use a rule of 1/2 inch of fish for every gallon with weekly w/c. It all depends on your dedication to the tank.

Using that rule doesn't work for fish that get above 2" in total length.

8 full grown peacocks/ haps in an 85 gallon tank is pushing it as far as biomass. it depends, is the fish a, stuartgranti or a venustus? these fish need low nitrate water. and a little space.

15 adult peacocks in a 85 gallon tank is perfectly okay. It actually reduced territorial aggression. This is based on my experiences in the past 25 years.

This thread is getting quite old and I doubt the OP is still around.
