Dreaming about cories :1luvu:
0
I'm preparing to possibly keep a nice group of cories in my 120g SA community tank.
I will have
5 angelfish
2 (maybe 4) EB and German rams
15 red phantoms
6 (or more) lemon tetras
5 hy511s
1 black phantom
Conditions are perfect, params within the range for soft water fish, lots of caves and driftwood. The tank is pretty heavily planted with low light plants with room to move along the bottom with mazes, but I have pea gravel, not sand, and the gravel is not exactly level since it's keeping plants in place.
The temperature of my tank is about 80°f during the summer abs 78°f over the winter. I don't want to go lower than this with my angelfish and especially rams. The tank is also 23" high from substrate to water surface. There's current, but I unplugged a power filter recently since I feel it was too much flow pointing at the sail shape of the angels.
If there are corydora species that can tolerate this, I'd be interested to find out which ones!
If there are none, I'll give up on my dream now. I wouldn't want to put fish at risk.
Does anyone have experience with C. duplicareus?

Are they ok with rams? On uneven pea gravel? I love the dupes!

Rams could be an issue but in a 120G I'd say there is enough space for both.
Pea-gravel isn't too bad. Got any pics?

I like Schwartz Corys. They're larger in size and can stand temperatures that high

I have lots of pics lol! Do you want a closeup pic of the bottom half? I might need to take a few for the length!

IME C. duplicareus could take that temp but not much higher, you would enjoy them or C.adolfoi very much ;-)
