    Default Infusoria.......???????????

    ok...so i have read alot on how to make Infusoria but i still don't get it. can someone clarify it for me in like short form on how to do it??? and everything i need for it to be a success????

    ok, get a jar of aquarium water and either add powdered egg yolk or a piece of lettuce (powdered egg yolk works best). Then leave it for a few days. When you shine a penlight through it and you can seeall these particles floating around, then it's a good culture. If it starts to stink, throw it out.

    o so i can't use anything like a shrimp pellet or anything???? that wouldn't work???

    Well, I have never heard of anyone using a shrimp pellet. It probably would work, but I would stick with the more proven methods. The best thing to use is powdered egg yolk.

    i have never heard or seen of powdered egg yolk. lol.

    EDIT- what do i feed a culture once it's going???

    You can get some aquarium plants and toss them in the jar. You can try the shrimp pellets as well. I found the best thing to do is to get several jars filled with aquarium water and use different food in each of them. Wait a wekk, then see which ones are the cloudiest. You doon't feed an existing culture. All you do is add some food at the start. When it starts to stink, throw it out.

    ok well i set up 4 jars...
    1 has 1 shrimp pellet in it
    1 has a few aquarium plants in it
    1 has 1 shrimp pellet and soem aquarium plants in it

    I am going to set 1-3 more up and use some lettuce and other foods i can fins (prob fish foods)
