Question OverStocking a 55 Gallon Malawi Tank

    0 Not allowed!
I have a 55g tank that is almost finished cycling and I've got a deep sand bed set up, a nice LED light. There's a big castle with about 4 hiding places and 14 various sized cichlid rocks. It's got a aquaclear 110 and a big air bubbler also a nice wavemaker. I want to overstock the tank to diffuse the aggression. Here are the fish I am considering

    Red Peacock
    Maingano
    Blue Peacock
    Mbuna
    Albino Peacock
    Kenyi
    Nanochromis
    Fuelleborni
    Albino Brichardi
    Tretocephalus

Are these compatible? I have about 16-18 hiding spots in the tank. I am considering making this a bachelor tank with all males. I might not be able to pick their gender if they are only 2" when I get them. Will I be dealing with constant aggression? If bioload is a concern I could put another aquaclear 110 on the other side.

If I didn't do a overstocked malawi tank what are my other options for cichlids? (including other lakes and varieties)

Have you tried entering this into www.aqadvisor.com to get an idea of stocking, filtration, etc?

Most of the species aren't listed on there, but I used a peacock cichlid as a generic example seems about 12 is the magic number for a 55g tank if im not mistaken
