That is correct, "tail spot" or "black diamond" cory, my favorite of the 3 pygmy corys

But as far as I know, hastatus doesnt have those white markings in the diamond zone no?, that looks to me like a numbered cory, similar to hastatus but not hastasus. (I'm new and I could be totally wrong, just an opinion)

Woooow, looked up some pics and indeed they do have them, that means the ones they have at my LFS are actually a non common species, it looks the same but without the white marks. Gonna go and take some pics when I can

If they have them labeled as hastatus but you see no white on the tails, it could be that they just haven't matured enough to show their full colors yet, I have some juvie hastatus I just got that are like that...or, they could be stressed or in poor health or environment

Mine have the white marking also...that is what makes the black spot in the diamond shape. They are my fav pygmy cory, too. Mine seem to be more social than my habrosus are. I will be on the computer and look up to see one of them hovering at the front of the tank looking at me. So cute!
I have noticed that a few of my smaller ones have more of a cream color than white. I think it is like Matt said with maturity.
