She asked me why do i want them for. So I gave her three reasons why i like them want them have them for.
She the said okay since we have married and we are meant to be equals bringing in a life of different ideals to one life to gather each must work in harmony to achieve it.
So long shot is I love v8s and fish. She loves shoes and beauty products. So if we can afford it them we do if we can't then we dnt. Works both ways for us.
Works well and gets both results. Well maybe not the v8 side she prefers smaller cars. So I said okay I will purchase a 1.3 coupe in the form of a rx8. Well that was all good till she got to drive one and dinner was up on the lap.

Would convert the garage for more tanks if I could, but we actually need our garage. So I've settled for having tanks in pretty much every room but the kitchen & the bedroom where the cats sleep. It would be awesome if I could replace a wall in my sunroom with an aquarium, but there are all sorts of inconvenient issues with that...
A Spec V fits nicely on a kitchen counter with its built in filter - just saying.

Anything can be made cat proof.
The main thing I recon is all rooms need a min of two tanks.
Plus a fish room and fish room two. Then some house win the loto. Invest well and the new job is looking after all the tanks.

Maybe if the cat can sit on the counter next to it and watch he wouldn't be inclined to jump on it? I don't have cats at the moment so I don't know how much of a problem they can be. I only had one 26g bowfront tank on a stand when I had the cats and they didn't give that one any notice.

My little kitten sometimes climbs onto my tanks but now is learning all I have to do now is stand up and walk towards her and she scrambles running away lol

Honey...ignores the tanks altogether, and always has. Ysa used to jump at the 29, before we added August to the mix. Since, they've mostly ignored the tanks except to stare at the fish when they swim up along the glass. My primary concern at this point isn't them getting into the tanks, but the chewing/playing with electrical cords & filter parts

Ah see i have the solution to cats. I dot keep them. But I do trap them.
My view is if you need to have a dog on a leash and confined why not cats. Cats my not as such hurt humans like dogs but they hunt a ton of wild life. So in nz our wild life isn't able to stand up to cats.
So any cat who wonders onto my place gets trapped. Then search the color for numbers. If not strait to the pound it goes. Pointless maybe but i never have the same cat turn up.

Anyway LFS today. Have a chance to go to a decent size city to see some LFS's retail therapy.

Same with me and cats, I could live w/out them, but love my dogs. We have 2 rescue cats (heartless neighbor moved and left a momma and 6 kittens to fend for themselves), but they stay outside...I'm not sure what I'd do if I caught a cat on one of my tanks, but it probably wouldn't be nice.

Came home empty-handed from the LFS?
