Default wild "Brazil" vs tank raised?

I have been trying to research the Duplicareus cory (Duplicate Cory) and still have some questions. Are wild caught the same as "Brazil" when listed online such as at TWS? Are these less adaptable than tank raised? At one time I thought I saw TWS list both tank raised and Brazil, with the Brazil being a few dollars more.

There is a column for tank raised (TR) and Wild.

Corydoras duplicareus is shown as wild.

All fish are adaptable to a certain degree, and just because it is from Brazil does not mean you have a soft water species.

The water in the Amazon varies greatly during wet and dry season when the water from mountain snow melt or heavy rain will increase pH so luckily they have a natural tolerance to these fluctuations. So with a good acclimation you shouldn't have to much to worry about

I remember Adolfoi being listed that way at TWS; not sure about Duplicareus. The tank raised were offered at a smaller size for I think about $8. I only remember this as I had thought about trying TWS since the Adolfoi at my LFS were $17. I ended up with the Duplicareus from my LFS and paid $16 ea. Started with 5 two years ago. Lost 2 in the past year. But I think 5 was actually too many for my 20g tank. They get to a decent size. Mine are very, very shy.

Both Adolfoi and Duplicareus, can be collected from the same location since they shoal together, so you may get either one.
