We are all clapping our hands and chanting "we believe!"
I am hoping you have done the mending you needed to avoid surgery.

Wonderful news!
So glad surgery is not needed and you can put some weight on your leg. Lol, with thinking you could just start jumping up and down with joy-its going to be a gradual gaining of strength.

Yeah, somehow with a traumatic injury and six weeks of complete inactivity, my leg isn't very strong! Puzzling!

Wonderful news Thomas!
PT is quite helpful (although yeah: no fun to be had there). Please do be mindful to follow orders and take it easy. Ramp back up slowly and you will be rewarded. Push things too quickly and you won't be. Keep that in mind. PT will happily give you all sorts of safe, productive exercises to work over your knee and leg. Just don't practice 'off list'. You will heal up!

We just got back from a two week vacation (school's out, ahhhhh). A couple of ospreys were persistently hovering over the pond. I had mixed feelings about this: I love ospreys; they're one of my favorite animals. On the other hand, I rather like my fish, too. So, I ran them off.
Next morning, I spooked a merganser on the pond. Our pond is so small, she had to take several runs at it before she could get up enough speed to take off.
Strange, but we do seem to be missing a few bluegills. It's a mystery, that...

I can see why you would have mixed feeling about the osprey as they are awesome birds. seems as though the dinner bell is ringing. is there anyone else near you with stocked ponds that you know of?

Yeah, there are ponds all around with suckers and carp, and the confluence of three creeks just a half mile or so away, so there are trout too. I haven't seen the ospreys or the mergansers since we got home. I think they were enjoying our absence, but have now moved on.
