Default Goldfish with a black eye

Hello! I'm rather new at having fish, and I noticed my goldfish(I think its a type of goldfish ) has one of his eyes all black, as if the pupil was dilated. He eats and swims fine, and also sees good, because when I get close he hides. Is it a problem or could it just be a birthmark sort of thing?

    Thank you!

It could be just pigmentation. If google goldfish with black eye, you will see quite a few examples of goldfish with a completely black eye and no pupil visible.

You can upload a picture to photobucket and post the img link here
