I went to Petsmart, but they were out of stock of basically the entire fish department. Literally only one bottle of melafix was left. Needless to say, tomorrow I will travel a little farther to a larger fish store and hopefully I'll find it there. In case I can't find it, do you think Furan-2 be a good product to try? On the box (from pictures online) it says for "eye cloud" and "open red sores". My fish is red, so hard to tell if there are sores, but he is missing large patches of scales, so I'm assuming that's the case.

Thanks for all the help! :)

kanaplex is better than furan-2. I would call the other fish store first before going to get Erythromycin. You can get Jungle Fungus Clear from Walmart which is the same as furan-2 but cheaper.

I need to go either way to pick up some more frozen food. They most likely will have it, as the place is literally a warehouse full of fish and aquarium products (If not, I'll order some online). Fingers crossed the next time I post it will be of a healthy picture of my betta! :) Thanks again. You've been a great help!

Well, it's been over a month and no improvements. I've done 2 full treatments of Maracyn I and II and DAILY baths with M Blue (which made him fear me, unfortunately). And daily 100% water changes. Kinda going crazy with the amount of care this single fish is getting and I'm getting tired of it. I had planned to leave for a week, but cut my trip short to 3 days so it wouldn't go too long without food. He still has all the same symptoms as before, but now one eye is protruding out of his head significantly (popeye). And after a full month, he hasn't gained any weight. Still eats no problem and still interacts when I'm near the tank. Otherwise, he sleeps in his floating log all day. Basically, no change in behavior. Only the one eye worsening has changed. :( Is there any hope for him? I can't keep up with this schedule anymore and I'm flying out of the country in a couple weeks......

After the treatments, it would be best to euthanize it with clove oil since it hasn't shown any improvement.
