    Question Aquarium Crash?

Hey guys! I have had my 29 Gallon Planted Aquarium up for about 5 and a half months. I've kept up on my water changes and dosing schedule. Last night I went to bed last night, woke up, went about my day and when I got home (lights are on a timer for when I come home) and the tank was foggy with a bacterial bloom. Any suggestions as to why it randomly did this? I have a HOB with aquatop biological media. I'm just going to do some water changes and wait it out. Thats what I did the first time I had an bacterial bloom. Does anyone know what would cause this out of the blue? Thanks!

Just a quick update, I did a 50% water change and there seemed to be a fair amount of waste. I then opened up my filter and realized it had been a while since I changed out the filter floss. Once I took it out there was a fairly large amount of waste. Do you think that this is the probably reason for the bloom? I changed the filter floss, added some charcoal and a sponge from some stuff that I had laying around. Crossing my fingers that I'll be good in the morning. [Will Update]

Yes lack of cleaning the filters and build up organic waste is the result of the heterotrophic bacterial bloom that your tank is going through.
