    Default guidance for setting up cemented pond

    hi guys
    new here, need guidance and help

    i have a cemented pond in my garden
    dia abt 10feet
    depth 4 ft
    capacity abt 1000 ltrs
    no provision for aeration or filtration
    completely exposed to elements
    i live in bhubaneswar very hot most of the time

    want to
    have a self sustained pond
    have plants, fishes and have some ornamental fishes
    budget 15000-20000

    need help and guidance

    You will need filtration and aeration in order to have fish. You would also need a heavy amount of vegetation for added oxygen and denitrification.

    I would add aquatic and semi aquatic plants first in pots with river rock as a substrate and let them develop. In the mean time work on a designing a way to filter the water mechanically and biologically.
