Are these the only fish in there?...or the only tetras?

Man, with a tank that size, I'd have at least 15 each of the ones you have already....and you need some rummys!!

Yes, I tend to understock. Lol, I don't know about 15 each, and rummynose, I like a lot, they are awesome schooling tetras, look great on their own in large groups, but they are a bit pencil-ly for my taste with all the angelfish. Tx! I will most likely go with a larger group of red phantoms, and if anyone knows of a tetra that acts like a lemon tetra, zippy, active....let me know!

    Yay!

My big blue angel finally got the new platinum to lay her eggs, and the parents managed to keep them protected overnight!

She guards the eggs in a closer perimeter and fans the eggs almost constantly. He is more protective from the other fish, and keeps them far away from the eggs.

I was tempted to steal the eggs, but I'm so surprised and excited watching them parent, I'm going to leave them in there for now and see how far the parents can protect the young ones.

    Sorry for the sideways pics.

Diamond tetras fit this description - zippy, active. They are very sparkly, too. I love mine.

Yeah if you have larger tetras and the Angelfish then the diamonds will be perfect. They are super active to the point of intimidating some of the slower-shier fish in a tank. It was why I re-homed my diamonds and lemons. They ate my smaller tetras and they out competed or intimidated the others into hiding 90% of the time. My tank has a totally different dynamic now. When I do diamonds again (they really are gorgeous) I would do them with lemons and rummys or bloodfins and bottom feeders like corys. No cardinals, emperors, gouramis, or black neons with them.

Thank you Sue. As long as they aren't nippy, I might just go for them! The angelfish can put up with a lot, but I've been cautioned against nippy tetras with slow moving angelfish. Although, my angels aren't really slow moving lol!

And to Boundava, if my angels tolerate the lemon tetras, diamond tetras should be fine with them? I just don't want the diamonds to nip the angelfish fins, if they zip around chasing eachother like the lemons, that would be perfect!

I wonder how big they will get? The size of a candycane? Or lemon tetra?
