So I've had the Aqueon water changer for over three years now. I like it, pretty good unit but over the years I've had to replace the plastic parts due the breakage and rig stuff together to keep it working. So I decided to get the original python from Amazon. What a difference, much more solid unit from the plastic to the hose itself. So if anyone is looking spend the extra money and get the original python with the green connections.

I love my Python. It's the best investment especially if you have large or multiple tanks. The quality is excellent. I've had it for over a year and the only down side is that I didn't buy it sooner.

It's good to know about this comparison. I couldn't find the Python in any local stores, and almost bought something else that was immediately available. I'm glad I ordered on'-line and waited a few days.

Just changed over myself and the python is indeed much more solid ;-)

Agree with all of the above, WC's are a breeze with the Python, I've had mine almost 3 years now with zero issues.

I bought my Python back in 1997, I had to replace the sink connection and on off valve only once and that was 1 1/2 years ago! I originally bought the 25' and then added 75' to it. Since I added the tanks upstairs I bought another 25' Python and it is still as solid as the one I bought in 1997. These are quality products that make maintenance so much easier.

My python was over 15 years old and I just replaced it. I had replaced a couple of the plastic parts only recently in the last maybe 2 years but when one more piece cracked, I decided to start with a new one as the hose was beyond cleaning. I could have bought a new hose and pieced everything together again, but I figured I had got my money's worth after so long.

I love mine and have had it from day. I bought the 50' one and my only regret is that I should have got the 25' one. But who knows someday I might need the longer one.
