Thanks mate. Maybe later i will share pics of my planted nano tanks, as soon i have some. I love plants, but it is a bit complicated with Discus because of the cleaning (all those anubias are movable, not actually planted).

I've heard about that with keeping discus. I love the fish, but love my planted tanks too much, and the fish I keep benefit from planted tanks, so I have to stick with what fish I keep.

I like the look of a little bit of live plant, anubias does the job :)

I have an small impression you have some angelfish :D

I love them, actually I used to have a P. Altum with all my discus, so sad they are not intended to be together. It may be a Russian roulette what you get. Mine was peaceful for 3 years. Nonetheless, he started to attack to my blue discus,so I had to decide what to do with him. One of the hardest decisions I ever made for my aquarium. I really loved him. Now he is in another tank with more P. Altums, so he is better now.

Haha, yes I keep a lot of angelfish. They were always my favorite fish, probably because they are the type of cichlid that fit my water params, it's just easier that way. I like cichlids that can be kept with smaller fish, like angelfish, apistos, agassizis, rams, discus ect. I just can't put in all the effort right now to keep discus the way they need to be kept. Maybe one day....

I'm glad your altum is ok in the new tank. Is it your tank as well?

Yep, all fine in my tank, I dont think I am going to put anything else in there. I am planning to upgrade to a bigger one as soon I move to a bigger place.

I love angelfish as well, all varieties. I used to had some marbled angelfish when I started, but they were not for a community tank, as they became a couple, then my guppys suffered by the cichlid hand, so I had to remove them. One of the mistakes I made, they do better with more individual as well. Which tank mates an angelfish can have?, or is it recommended to keep them alone?.

Thats a big topic for the discus, almost no fish is a good tank mate for them

000_0003.jpg000_0006.jpgHi everybody, I thought I share some pics of my biggest discus in my tanks to stir up the discussion. It is hard to tell on the picture but he is a good 6''. Unfortunately he is not a good reproductor, keeps eating the eggs or wigglers....
