    Cool Mr. Betta's 10 gal

I am thrilled with Mr. Betta. He is doing very well. He loves his tank and likes to rest on the tall blades of grass. I have to figure out how to record and feed him at the same time. I thaw his frozen food of choice and suck it up in a syringe. As soon as the tip hits the water he positions his mouth right in front of it! He is so d--m smart!

Bought the Estes Stoney River black sand for Mr. Betta's tank (and to add to the dual 29s), turned off the filter and added about 7 lbs. I took a chance and did not rinse before adding. No problem. A bit of sand floated on the surface so I just swished it around and it sank. No dust, no cloudiness. Turned the filter on and the tank looks great. I will do a new video.

I can possibly see another Betta tank in my future.........

I am also happy Mr. Betta is doing well. Good to hear you got an intelligent one. Also glad to know the sand was so easy to add. Read some reviews where people complained about it forming sand bubbles and being a PITA to get rid of...glad to know this isn't the case.

How many bloodworms would be considered a good meal for a Betta. How many times a week would it be ok to give him these? My Betta loves them and hates brine shrimp. He will also eat the Hikari micro pellets.

I only feed BW's once a week, as a treat.

I'm lucky with Gerald, he'll eat anything.

Elvis will also eat the Omega One Color flakes but I thought I read somewhere to not give betas flakes. Would a little bit be ok and not cause constipation or other issues?

Mike & Aggie both liked the micropellets & shrimp, but and wouldn't touch the BW. BW...is more like a fishy dessert, I think

My Mr Betta is an extremely picky eater. He will not eat any kind of flake or pellet, he only eats frozen or freeze dried bloodworms, spirulina brine shrimp or brine shrimp. Nothing else and believe me I have tried several other foods. I feed him every day.
