Do you think I could at least get grade AA RCS? http://www.theshrimpfarm.com/freshwa...rry-shrimp.php This is where I could get them, as I contacted them about their CRS and they were VERY helpful and had great customer service! And I would at least like my shrimp to look really nice even if it costs me a bit more! question for you as well.... Do you think that Cardinal Tetras would be okay with the shrimp I linked? I don't really want to lose any (Since they are a lot cheaper it wouldn't be a huge deal if 1 died) but I want to try to keep all of them and I have gotten some people who say Cardinals are perfectly fine and some who have questioned it a little and suggested neons. I would much rather get cardinals as I think that they are much prettier and interesting, but if I need to, I will get neons. Thanks a lot for the help!
The SS mesh Slap recommended is the best, I have them on my 10 and 20 which both have and they have been pretty clogged with duckweed and Christmas moss without impeding the flow of water into the filter. Also the cherry shrimp are a good alternative-very hardy and no special conditions like crystal shrimp (low pH and soft water) . As for the dry ferts, are you talking about EI ferts? I have no experience with other dry ferts that go under the substrate. This is what I have used before with success and no ill effects to fish or shrimp:

Also the RCS now come in so many colors that they are (almost) as pretty as the crystals (there are some not even listed here):

That's an OK price, I've never worried about "grades" of RCS though...check here, you may find a better deal...but if you want to go with Shrimpfarm, it's fine, too...I usually advise starting with 20 RCS, if you can: http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti....cgi?fwinverts
I first off won't be setting up my tank for probably a month or two as I need to earn money to buy the rest of what I need. Secondly, I will get 20 RCS, but is there any place that will for sure have good ones, as I don't really want to bid on them. Third, would you suggest adding the shrimp before the fish (if so how long before), would you suggest adding the fish before (if so how long before) or would you suggest adding them at the same time or within a day or so depending on how fast they ship?

Alright, thank you! I want to get a good one and a nice looking one, just don't want to spend a ton. I have the API Master test kit for my 10 gallon, so shouldn't be a problem to test pH! Thanks for you input!

You can add all of the fish and shrimp after you are cycled

There's lots of places that sell RCS, you'll have time to shop around for the best deal: https://www.google.com/search?q=wher...utf-8&oe=utf-8

If water parameters are the only challenging thing with raising Crystals I am already planning on having RO water with a pH of about 6.5 in the tank, but I will definitely do RCS to start with! Are fire reds the same just more red, cause I really like the look of those!
