Maybe consider some rummy nose tetra either instead of, or in addition to, the harlequins. Great schooling fish and I've had mine with an angel without any issues.

Love the hardscape of the tank. Will you be adding any additional plants?

    Why add bottled bacteria?

You don't need it...I would do a fishless cycle with plain ammonia

I re-read your stocking plan, the angels may find the shrimp to be a quite delicious snack

    To answer your questions

Yes I plan to add a lot more plants, the anubias and java fern were pulled from my other tanks. I will have to order more soon.

And I am using bottled bacteria because Im a believer in the stuff I used Seachems Stability to cycle my 15 gallon column tank in just 4 days with little to no stress on the fish I noticed. I do daily testing and water changes if necessary and I have read nothing but great things about the dr tims one and only. Plus the number one reason is Im very impatience and don't like the look of an empty tank.

I have also heard great things about this product. i have not used it.. but it sounds too good to be true! man im all about a fast cycle! LOL but im also not about chemicals. I dont think you could pay me to put ammonia in my tank... not without an in person lesson. so I wasn't sure if i wanted to bother with it. I ended up just using media and ornaments and things from my established tank. still very curious to hear how it goes first hand!

That is a beautiful setup, Im interested to know what other (if any) plants will go in there. Stock list looks really good too, and even though I know nothing about angels but I can't wait to see this develop.

Sounds good, amazon swords look great, considering how quickly they grow it will balance the tank out great, I had crypts but for some reason they didn't like my tank, all 3 continued to grow small leaves and then just "melt" and eventually I took them out. Can't wait to see it!

Tank looks nice so far, but just a heads up....the sand and Eco-Complete will end up mixing. I did similar in my 10ga, and over time they kind of sift together. Unless you have some kind of solid barriers/"fence", that will keep them seperate.

    I love all that wood!
