The type you have are probably not truly aquatic, and not meant to be totally submersed
I don't see how it can hurt to try, but non-aquatic plants usually don't last long in a tank
I was sold so many non aquatic stem plants that just died in my tank after a week or month that I stopped throwing my money away. That was in my 29 gallon tank, my experience I would not try non aquatic plants in a tank again. I know some have lidless tanks and can grow them out of water-but all of my tanks have lids and though some of the anubias and the Java fern leaves are growing partial out of the tank in the 75 gallon right now-they are still contained under a lid.
