I went to the Finnex website and inquired if the clip light will work with a glass lid.

Hmm... That's might be troublesome. The guy in the review vid I had watched just set his directly on his glass lid.

That's one way to find out lol

Edit: Depending on how flexible the arm is, you might be able to mount it on the rear corner of the tank and just cut out a tiny section out of the back lid strip to allow the clamp to reach down far enough?

I watched that too, lol...was hoping he'd show it mounted in the follow-up vid, but nada.

    Hello Matt,
It should on a standard tank with or without a rim. If the rim is too thick or the glass top in the way, you will need to slide out a piece on the mounting legs, so it can fit properly.

Hey slap on the gravel that is very similar to what i intend to collect for my tank the colors are a little different than what occurs around here naturally. I have used similar in my aquariums and my cousin in his to. IMO it makes the tank look very nice after everything is setup and the different colors will really make fish/plant color stand out I think if you go with it you will be pleased with how it looks.

I was wondering when -- not if -- you were going to start up a journal for this tank. It will be a fun project to follow! I agree with others that you have a good eye for 'scaping. I'm subscribed!

Thanks for the input! I have sand in my other three tanks, and have been wanting to try something different for quite a while now...I think this pebble gravel will look very nice, as you have seen.

The only real landscaping place around here has nothing but very big stuff.

She picked up the pebbles at Petco, I've seen those in person before and really liked them...thanks, though.
