I have a little one gallon tank for my betta fish, I do have plans to get something bigger but for the moment this is what I have. I just bought Melafix at Walmart because I noticed my beta has cotton mouth and it says to put one teaspoon for every 10 gallons and I only have a one gallon tank so how much should I put in there? Also all the water in the tank is drinking water you buy in the jug at Walmart... Is that good water to use?

A teaspoon is 5ml you want 1/10th of that for your 1 gallon. 1/10th of 5ml is .5ml or 1/2 of a ml, if you are more comfortable with fractions. A medicine syringe available at any pharmacy will help you with dosages.
However, you might want to read this before using Melafix with your betta, http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/be...h-melafix.html
Jungle fungus guard might be a better option.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me
