My own growing 8" Jag will not tolerate anything in his space either. If you were to do a Jaguar....get a female. IMO the female would probably work with the mentioned fish. With mixing large aggressive cichlids you find you need a spare tank or two to move one out if/when something happens. It is why most of us keep these aggressive predators alone or in mated pairs. Now a 300G is a very sizeable tank but when you have multiples of similar size and aggression fish fighting for territory it gets small very quickly. Jaguars are extremely intelligent, they will live with other fish peacefully for a period of time until they dont. They tend to attack other fish when the other fish doesn't expect it. I got my own jag a tankmate shortly after I first got him to help with feeding as he was extremely difficult to pellet train at the suggestion some more experienced Jag owners stated it may help as he could see another fish eat pellets(he refused to eat any pellets for over a month). Well, I got an Oscar as it was the largest cichlid I could find on short notice(Oscar was much larger than the Jag). Things went very well for about 10 days, no aggression, Jag still didn't eat pellets but I was making plans to move the Oscar to my office. I came home to find the Oscar mauled, eyes eaten, etc. Kind of a play on psychotic the Jag has eaten pellets every day since.

That is a very nice Jag you have! I am also on the school of thought that a 75G isn't a terrible home for a solo male long term. Ive seen a lot of people suggest 180Gs as min; now for some yes that may be true if you have a freak specimen which grows to 18". However most Jags in the hobby seem to tap out at 12-14". Which is why I am viewing mine's 75G as a semi/permanent situation if he needs the upgrade Ill do it but I'm not worried or in a rush to do it before he explodes in growth.
