I got my light in the mail yesterday and hooked it up today and it is amazing. It makes my lights on the 88 gallon look like crap. Which they are. I'm gonna wait for them to burn out but when they do, I'm upgrading.

Actually I'm not sure if it was that one. Can't remember which one the marine depot one was. I got the 24" Coralife fixture.

My bad on it being upside down. I can never figure it out lol. The water has cleared up by now. When I mixed the salt I did it directly in the tank and some of it stuck to the sides so I cleaned that off right before this pic which is why it's so cloudy.

Have not posted on here in awhile. The tank has been cycled about a month. Just got my first corals yesterday. I will admit that I did not do much research before buying them as I went in to buy some fish but they didn't have the one I wanted and it was one of those things where I didn't want to walk out empty handed. I bought some zoanthid polyps, a candy cane coral and a tree coral. The Zoas are awesome. Little worried about the candy cane coral as it seems to not really want to open up. Any thoughts on that?

What are your current water parameters for dKH, Cal, salinity and nitrates ?

Did you ever changes the bulbs in your fixture, and if yes, what are you currently using ?

How much flow do you have in the tank and how much flow is the candy cane getting ?

What exactly do you mean by a tree coral ?

Having a mix of softies and LPS is not always the best approach as it can make things a little harder than it needs to be, but it certainly can be done
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
