    Ok so today's readings were

    Ammonia 0ppm

    Nitrites .50ppm

Nitrates 10-20 idk they are way to close together on the card so I also go for worst case scenario

I immediately did a 50% WC and added the SEACHEM Prime everything seems to be going well.I do have another question, I know you are not suppose to clean the filter because it will be rid of the beneficial bacteria but I'm starting to see some "sludge" on my heater should I clean that off? Will it make the heater malfunction? Thanks everyone for your help so far I haven't been getting any sleep lately due to staying up reading all the good advice the site has to offer!! :D

You can clean the heater with no issues....a snail would help with that, mine clean my heaters quite well.

Make sure you unplug it if you need to take it out of the water to clean it.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

So here's the new tank 5 gallon plexiglass tank with built in light and a tetra whisper filter. Has several moneywort plants and an Anubis I think lol and a miss ball. It has one tequila sunrise guppy and about 20-25 Rili red shrimp. Bought of craigslist image.jpg

The tank looks nice, those shrimp are hiding really well.

So you bought the 5G set up, cycled, and ready to display, along with fish and snails?

    Looks nice.
